Indulge guilt-free in White Flat Mushroom Fries made with Highline White Flat Mushrooms. They’re air-fried to perfection, crispy and flavorful, without deep frying!
6 oz Highline® White Flat Mushrooms, stems removed and thickly sliced
Cooking spray
For the base:
1 cup flour
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp onion powder
Salt & pepper, to taste
For the egg wash:
1 egg
1 tbsp water
For the bread crumbs:
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
2 tbsp Parmesan cheese
Fresh parsley, for garnish
Ranch dip, for serving
- Spray air fryer with cooking spray, arrange mushrooms in a single layer, and cook at 380°F for 5 minutes.
- In a small bowl mix flour, smoked paprika, garlic powder. Season with salt & pepper, to taste.
- In a second bowl whisk eggs and water.
- In a third bowl combine breadcrumbs, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan.
- Coat each mushroom in flour mixture, followed by the egg wash and then breadcrumbs.
- Place breaded mushrooms in the air fryer and cook for 10 minutes at 380°F until golden brown.
- To serve add ranch dip and garnish with parsley.
